Belfast City Airport

Belfast City Airport’s upgrade was designed to deliver an enhanced airport experience that truly caters for the needs of passengers. Connection furniture was specified to create a composed working and social environment in which passengers can sit, relax, work and ‘re-charge’ before flying.

Approximately 1.4 million departing passengers travelling through Belfast City Airport every year can access the brand new ‘business class’ facilities in the departures lounge with the launch of a new experiential, luxury seating hub designed by The Alpha Group.

The Alpha Group transformed part of the main departures lounge with comfortable, ergonomic and stylish furniture, offering charging points, enhanced lighting and more private seating options for passengers who are seeking quiet spaces to work or simply relax in before travelling.

Muse privacy booths were specified to create places of focus and privacy within the lounge through the absence of walls. Designed with a utilitarian aesthetic, Tubes benches create touch down spaces for temporary working and waiting areas and high back Tryst booths facilitate professional and social spaces with visual and acoustic privacy.

The experiential luxury seating hub further strengthens the comfort and convenience we provide for our passengers

Cliona Arthur, Media Sales Manager for Belfast City Airport, said: “We understand that ‘out-of-office’ doesn’t always mean that business stops, and that connectivity on the go is vital for our passengers. The experiential luxury seating hub will further strengthen the comfort and convenience we provide for our passengers and is the perfect ‘fit’ for our airside environment.”
