Clerkenwell Design Week 2026

Following the success of Every Piece Counts at Clerkenwell Design Week 2025, this year Flokk presented What Matters, a concept exploring the principles that shape our approach to creating products and spaces: Design, Material and Colour.

Underpinned by decades of heritage and expertise across our global brands, What Matters brought these three pillars to life throughout our Clerkenwell showroom, demonstrating not only what we create, but the thinking behind it.

Design Matters

Design provides the foundation for everything we do as responsible manufacturers. It is how we solve real problems, respond to changing needs and create products that work in practice.

For us, good design should improve the experience of the people using it. From supporting movement and comfort to encouraging focus, collaboration and productivity, every detail should have a purpose.

Material Matters

Every material choice has consequences, from how and where it is made to how long it lasts and what happens at the end of its useful life.

At Clerkenwell Design Week, we made this thinking visible, demonstrating how considered material choices can help reduce environmental impact while supporting durability, longevity, repair and reuse. It is an approach that begins at the earliest stages of the design process and continues throughout a product’s lifecycle.

Colour Matters

Colour brings another dimension to how products and spaces are experienced.

Our carefully considered colour palette creates consistency across Flokk brands and products, helping different collections sit naturally alongside one another. Within an interior, colour can also define zones, introduce contrast and influence atmosphere, bringing focus, calm or energy depending on how a space is intended to be used.

Together, Design, Material and Colour represent an approach shaped by expertise from across Flokk and our global family of brands.

Throughout Clerkenwell Design Week, visitors were able to see these principles translated into real products and environments, alongside some of our latest launches, including Connection Terrain, Connection Oko and Connection Leo modular.

Across the three-day festival, more than 2,000 visitors joined us at our Clerkenwell showroom for product presentations, conversations, events and an opportunity to experience the latest additions to the Flokk portfolio first-hand.

From designers and dealers to architects, specifiers and end users, it was a week filled with new ideas, conversations and connections.

What Matters may have provided the theme for Clerkenwell Design Week 2026, but the principles behind it extend far beyond the festival. Design, Material and Colour continue to shape how we develop products, make decisions and create environments designed to support the way people live and work.
