London Design Festival 2024

Last week London Design Festival took place, with more than 500,000 visitors flooding into town to catch a glimpse of the creativity that abounds across the city. Participants include brands & companies, museums and galleries and designers including Flokk collaborators such as Pearson LloydHydro and Hunting & Narud.

To mark the occasion the Flokk UK team installed a preview build of the new Connection design ‘Spaces’ in the showroom chairs, giving visitors a taste of what is to come next month in Cologne at the behemoth trade fair Orgatec. And to acknowledge the creative nature of LDF Flokk London hosted a mini-exhibition by the 2024 MA Design graduates from the prestigious UAL: Central Saint Martins, whose works were a mix of furniture, jewelry and ceramics.

“London Design Festival is a fantastic event which brings together designers from across the globe and demonstrates the capital’s position as a powerhouse for the creative industries. London is known for its creativity and continues to attract the best companies and talent from around the world. I’m delighted to support London Design Festival, which shows that London is open to great ideas, innovation and people from all backgrounds.” Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London.

Over in Kensington the Norwegian Ambassador HE Tore Hattrem, alongside Norsk Industri/Norwegian Design Industry, hosted a reception to ‘celebrate cutting-edge Norwegian design’. Naturally, the HAG Tion and HAG Celi took pride of place in a display curated by Hunting & Narud.
