Aquis House
Bloc Commercial Interiors was appointed to deliver the full design and fit-out of the 14,000 sq ft, 2nd floor at Aquis House, a landmark commercial building in the centre of Reading.
The goal was to transform a vacant floorplate into a premium, flexible workplace that would appeal to a wide range of potential tenants while aligning with the building’s overall aesthetic and long-term leasing strategy.
The brief focused on creating a modern, adaptable office environment that reflected contemporary workplace trends, promoted collaboration and comfort, incorporated sustainable design principles and enhanced the value and marketability of the building.
Bloc delivered a vibrant, modern workplace that balances functionality, comfort, and style. At the heart of the design are Connection’s WorkWell Task Chairs, chosen for their ergonomic support and ability to promote wellbeing across diverse working styles.
The space includes a variety of collaborative zones and private areas, ensuring it meets the needs of multiple tenants. Materials and finishes were selected to echo the high-quality standards of the building while remaining flexible for future occupiers.
Through close collaboration between Bloc and the project team, the 2nd floor of Aquis House has been transformed into a sophisticated, flexible, and sustainable workplace. With Connection’s WorkWell Task Chairs at its core, the space now offers an inviting environment that supports productivity, wellbeing, and long-term tenant appeal.
