Hertford Theatre

Wagstaff worked with HERTS FULLSTOP to transform the Hertford Theatre’s waiting and café area into a welcoming, modern environment that enhances the overall visitor experience.

The goal was to create a space that feels warm and inviting, while supporting both comfort and practicality.

Working closely with HERTS FULLSTOP, Wagstaff developed a design concept that balanced aesthetics with function. The focus was on maximising seating capacity without compromising the open-plan layout or disrupting the natural flow between areas.

To complement the theatre’s contemporary aesthetic, Wagstaff specified Connection Camden Chairs a refined lounge chair inspired by mid-century British design. These chairs provide both visual harmony and exceptional comfort, offering theatre-goers a relaxed space to enjoy before performances.

The redesigned waiting and café area now provides a cohesive, stylish, and comfortable environment that elevates the theatre experience for every visitor.
