Their head office at Vintners Place, aiming to create a high-end, collaborative environment that would reflect their core values of innovation, sustainability, and employee well-being. Tsunami Axis, in collaboration with DMG Workplace and Grigoriou Interiors, led the transformation of the 45,000 sq ft space, ensuring that the design not only modernised the workplace but also adhered to the highest environmental standards.
Sustainability was a guiding principle throughout the project. Achieving SKA Gold accreditation—a benchmark for sustainable fit-outs—was a major target. Tsunami Axis played a crucial role by providing extensive documentation to verify environmental compliance and by sourcing furniture that met strict sustainability standards. Every decision, from material selection to supply chain transparency, was made with environmental impact in mind.

Selecting furniture that balances style, functionality, and environmental responsibility was key. The design team ensured that all items integrated seamlessly with the sophisticated and contemporary aesthetic of the new space.
Connection Rollie chairs were chosen for meeting rooms across the office. These chairs offered a perfect blend of sleek design and ergonomic comfort, promoting a professional yet inviting environment for meetings of all sizes.
To facilitate private conversations and focused work in the open-plan environment, Connection ONE booths were incorporated. These flexible spaces allowed for private calls, informal meetings, and quiet working, supporting a variety of work styles within the collaborative setting.

Special attention was given to creating a workspace that supports mental and physical well-being. The furniture and layout encouraged movement, collaboration, and choice, empowering employees to select spaces that best suit their tasks and working preferences.
The newly refurbished headquarters is a vibrant, dynamic, and sustainable space that embodies Sumitomo Corporation Europe’s vision for the future. Through thoughtful collaboration and meticulous execution, Tsunami Axis, DMG Workplace, and Grigoriou Interiors successfully delivered a space that supports Sumitomo’s people, purpose, and planet-focused ambitions.
