Based in the heart of London, a stone’s throw from St Paul’s Cathedral, the Bank of New York Mellon offices required a post-COVID update to support new modern working practices for their existing and future workforces.

Over the past couple of years, a key trend that has shaped the look and usage of the workplace has been Resimercial.
A blend of residential décor with commercial interior functionality, Resimercial was conceptualised to attract employees back into the workplace, with inspiring spaces that provide the comfort of home, and aid individual wellbeing.
We have seen a swathe of projects incorporating our own Resimercial ranges to create stunning spaces, one of the most prominent being completed by SPACE – A Simul Group company, for US-based cyber security firm Rapid7. The 22,000sqft office in Reading has been designed to provide a modern and engaging place for employees to collaborate and thrive.

Perhaps the centre piece of the entire workplace, Bloomsbury was finished in stunning electric blue to create an eye-catching zone in the middle of the office with multiple functions. This inspiring lounge area was finished with Chelsea chairs to provide the perfect Resimercial setting, ideal for informal meetings, or welcoming guests into the office.
Positioned further within the space alongside a more orthodox desking area, Harp has been specified in a subdued and harmonious olive green, creating a workspace that remains open yet segmented away from the rest of the office. Within this configuration of Harp are rows of shelving for storage and wellness-aiding biophilia, as well as a large whiteboard, allowing employees to work collaboratively within the space.
‘The library’ is a quiet workspace set away from the remainder of the office. Designed to imitate mid-century interior design, the room features a striking lit bookshelf, three individual work pods and separate areas for meetings, breakouts, and collaborative work. Embracing the Resimercial aesthetic, Rollie, Centro, Dixi and Aviary were all specified to create an inspiring and relaxing space, through a combination of muted colour palettes with stunning natural woods.
