Principality House
D&G Office Interiors completed an exciting workplace transformation project at the head office of Principality Building Society.
A clear brief was given, aiming to move away from a traditional corporate office model and deliver a modern, agile environment that encourages collaboration and focused, independent work. With hybrid working becoming the new norm, the challenge was to design a space that could flexibly support varied workstyles while reflecting the organisation’s values and brand identity.
Project goals
Spread across eight floors, the project focused on re-imagining the existing workspace to align with a new era of work. The goal was to:
Each floor was given a unique identity, guided by the organisation’s secondary colour palette. The result is a cohesive yet varied experience throughout the building, with each space tailored to different modes of working.
To achieve the desired balance of collaboration and privacy, a range of Connection furniture was integrated into the design:
Chelsea Chairs: Used in touchdown zones and breakout areas to support informal meetings and spontaneous collaboration.
Muse Booths: Provided quiet spaces for focused individual work and private phone calls.
Tryst Booths: Created acoustic zones for confidential meetings and were also used in presentation areas for added flexibility.
These elements contributed to a softer, more homely atmosphere, making the office not only functional but welcoming and comfortable.

The finished space has been met with enthusiastic feedback from both the client and their teams. The new office design successfully supports a dynamic, hybrid working culture, encourages productivity, and strengthens employee engagement through thoughtful, user-centred design.
